Did Helene Hadsell Levitate Here?

In Helene’s second book, In Contact With Other Realms, she included a chapter describing her direct experiences with levitation. During my third road trip to Texas this year, I made a point of visiting the chapel where Helene attended Mass.

We arrived at the Church of the Incarnation around lunchtime after a full morning that began with coffee with Dike, a stop at the West Irving Library to donate a set of Helene’s books, and a visit to the house she won on Rochelle Boulevard. I didn’t realize a service was in progress until I attempted to film the exterior and suddenly noticed a steady stream of people exiting the church.

Based on Helene’s description, the surrounding area has undergone considerable changes over the past 50 to 60 years. A major landscaping project is also currently underway. Because of this, and out of respect for the service, I took only one rather poor photo from outside the church, and the short video below.

Here is an excerpt from Helene’s account of her experience at the Church of the Incarnation:

Levitatinga Nuisance

Feeling so charged, balanced, and grateful for all my blessings, I decided to attend the morning services at the chapel located on the grounds of the University of Dallas, a short distance from where I lived at the time.

After I left my car and walked fifty yards toward the chapel, something happened. Looking down at the ground, I realized it was below me—my body was floating, six inches in the air. The path to the chapel was downhill, and there were no trees or bushes nearby. I panicked.

Then I remembered what the man told me in Detroit and began stroking in mid-air as though swimming. I balanced myself and began moving forward toward the chapel. Locking my mind on one of the pillars bordering the entrance, my plan was to wrap my arms around it and get back on the ground. I kept my eyes firmly on the goal and was soon able to accomplish this maneuver. As I hastily returned to solid ground, I felt tremendous relief. I kept clinging to the pillar until, with such a jerk, the voices of students arriving for services brought me back to reality.

“Thank God. No one had seen me,” I thought as I joined the students and entered the chapel, heaving a sigh of relief. When the service was over, I waited until everyone left before I ventured outside. No repeat performance! It hasn’t happened since.

I also went inside, made a donation, lit a candle, and offered a prayer for Helene in the St. Thomas Aquinas Eucharistic Chapel.

So, did Helene levitate here? I believe so. Do you?
