Helene Hadsell is The Winning Sage – Bonus 2
In 2009, Vishen Lakhiani and his team from Finer Minds (now Mindvalley) interviewed Helene Hadsell and created a program called The Winning Sage, which included 13 videos, 4 audio recordings, and a PDF version of the 2nd Edition of Contesting: The Name It & Claim It Game.
Since clips from those interviews are widely shared on Instagram and TikTok, I thought it would be prudent to create a blog series featuring highlights, along with the full video (or audio) from each interview, to ensure Helene’s teachings don’t get lost in quick sound bites.
Bonus Two
Norman Vincent Peale’s The Power of Positive Thinking strongly influenced Helene Hadsell. One idea in particular stuck with her: you can have what you want if you know exactly what it is and see yourself as already having it.
That principle became part of Helene’s approach to winning and the foundation of her book, The Name It & Claim It Game.
Helene also shared the story of Dr. Joseph Murphy, who visualized the home he wanted, right down to a room with recording equipment. Despite having very little money, he eventually inherited an estate that included the very house he had imagined.
When Murphy asked Helene how she thought it had happened, she offered an interesting explanation. Perhaps the woman who left him the estate had been thinking about who should receive her belongings, and her thoughts somehow connected with what Murphy had been imagining.
Whether you see it as manifestation, intuition, or something we don’t fully understand, Helene’s stories raise an intriguing question: how much does what we focus on influence the opportunities that come our way?
