How Your Emotions Are Magnets for Manifestation
Let’s discuss something that’s been showing up frequently in my inbox lately – people struggling with manifestation. Folks stating that their life is terrible, they want to win the lottery, and nothing seems to be working. Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing – everyone is always manifesting, whether you like it or not. As Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Whatever you think, and more importantly, feel, is what’s going to manifest.
The SPEC Method: Where People Get Stuck
You’ve probably heard about Helene Hadsell’s SPEC method – Select it, Project it, Expect it, Collect it. But where I see people getting stuck most often is on that “E” – the Expect it part. Let me break this down for you.
Select It: Be Ridiculously Specific
This is step one for a reason. If you’re not specific, how are you going to know what to manifest? I love Jack Canfield’s story about this. A student saying “I want more money,” so Jack tossed him a quarter. When the guy protested stating it wasn’t enough, Jack asked, “Well, how much then? By when?”
Be specific. Then wait for inspiration and take action on that inspiration.
Project It: Put It Out There
This is what you’re doing with your mind. Putting it out to the universe. You can journal, create vision boards, make voice notes, whatever works for you. Some people have aphasia and can’t visualize clearly, and that’s okay! The visualization itself isn’t as important as projecting the ideas.
This is where The Silva Method comes in handy. You create in the alpha state and take inspired action in the beta state. When you’re meditating and go down into alpha, that’s where you design what you want your life to look like. Then, when you come back to beta, you take that inspired action.
Expect It: The Real Game Changer
Now here’s where it gets interesting. That “E” could stand for several things:
- Expect it
- Energize it
- Emotion(s)
- Experience
Because you need all of these to manifest effectively.
Why Your Emotions Are Magnets
Emotions are literally magnets. If you’re sitting there thinking, “I have so much doubt this isn’t going to work,” guess what the universe hears? “Oh, you don’t want it to work? Okay, we can do that.”
Instead of trying to trick yourself with affirmations like “I am rich” when your subconscious knows you’re not, try shifting the needle with something believable. Say something like, “I wonder what opportunities I can take that will get me to my goal this month.”
Now you’re turning on that reticular activator, and you’ll start seeing opportunities everywhere.
The Experience Factor
Here’s something people don’t talk about enough – you need the experience to manifest bigger things. When I started my publishing company and bought the rights to Tag Powell’s books, I wasn’t the same person I was a year before. I needed the experience of being an author, dealing with lawyers, and understanding the publishing world before I became the person who had the confidence to ask Tag to buy his book rights. Experience changes you, and that change is necessary for bigger manifestations.
Taking Inspired Action
Robert Ohotto always said, “first hit, best hit.” That intuition you get? It’s quiet and quick. Doubt is loud and naggy – that’s your ego. But intuition feels like lightning in your body.
I equate manifestation to going to the gym. Consistency over time equals results. Helene didn’t win all those prizes by just thinking about a microwave and sitting in her living room. She took action and entered the giveaways.
The Long Game and Trusting the Process
Sometimes the universe delivers in ways you never could have imagined. I’ve heard of people manifesting Subway sandwiches through visualization, inheriting land by being open to opportunities, and getting free steak dinners just by asking.
The key is being open to different avenues. Don’t limit how the universe can deliver to you.
Your Next Steps
Start small and build believability. Instead of jumping to “I’m making $100,000 this month,” maybe start with “I’m open to opportunities for a $10,000 month.” Look for synchronicities, take inspired action, and trust the process.
Remember, abundance isn’t just money – it’s ideas, opportunities, inspiration, creativity, and synchronicities.
And here’s my challenge for you: practice saying “thank you” more often. Be open to receiving in unexpected ways. Live as if you were the answer to somebody else’s prayer.
The tools are here. The techniques work. But as Jim Rohn said, “No one can do your push-ups for you.” You have to do the work.
What are you going to manifest next? I’d love to hear about it.

I’m manifesting a cruise to the Maritimes. Looking forward to it
You can do it! I manifested a cruise to the Bahamas after recording the cruise story in The Name It & Claim It Game.
